Best LF Memory?

I'll go with three here:
- BroStock 2010 (or 11?) what an experience!!!
- Getting to make a series of 12 limited Peak boards with Jimmy at the factory in Dubai in 2011.
- Basically all the team trips, from the ones in the States to Europe to Asia and Australia!

What is your spirit animal and why?

I'm born in the year of the monkey, if you ask the Chinese calendar what my spirt animal would be…

Describe yourself in one sentence?

Hey I'm Nico, 29 years old, dad of two wonderful sons, smart, creative and a fan of life.

Biggest inspiration?

Other athletes like John Florence, Kelly Slater or Travis Rice.

What is your favorite trick to watch?

My favorite thing to watch is when someone lands something new, whether it’s winch hit or the first time someone hits a kicker.

Favorite snack?

I'm a big fan of snacks, give me any (as long as they veggie).

Winch or Cable?

I love winching, but if I had to choose for the rest of my life, I’d go with Cable.

Which rider would you say has the best style?

I'll go old school here: Ben Greenwood and Shane Bonifay.

Why should people support LF or ride LF product?

LF is a brand of true wakeboard pioneers that is still run entirely by wakeboarders, pushing and supporting and promoted by the best athletes in the world and relentlessly caring about how to innovative, whether it's shapes and designs or spearheading the movement towards more sustainability in wake.

Why wakeboarding and what brought you here?

My parents ran the cable park Allgäu, so I pretty much grew up at the park. All I cared about at a young age was wakeboarding. It is such a cool sport, the amount of self-expression you can put into it is crazy, the amount of joy you get out of it is endless. Plus you get to share all this with people equally passionate about it!

Wasserski Langenfeld, 313 Wake Park, Thai Wake Park

You have unlimited budget for a wake trip, where is it, who is with you and what does it look like?

Unlimited? I'd build my own dream wake park in the South of Portugal and invite you all there!

Best wake memory of the last year?

A lot of highlights… I found it really cool for many of us to get together at 313, shredding together after a long time of lockdowns and enjoying and absolute great vibe during the contest there!

Any upcoming projects you are hyped on?

Yes! I'm working on something that will connect and help people of all levels to learn and improve their riding!

What do you like to do outside of Wakeboarding?

I love snowboarding and surfing. And I like to do things with my kids, whether it's playing outside with them as if I still was a kid or reading a book to them or building lego or whatever. I also like to learn new things...

Favorite isle in the grocery store?

I really like good food, so I'd go to an organic grocery store and appreciate every single isle in there.

Dream job?

I'm a pro wakeboarder, I guess I'm in a dream already!

Do you play a musical instrument?

I have a Cajon and I sing lullabies for the kids, does that count?

If you could be a pro in another sport what would it be?

Surfing or Snowboarding. Or wait, maybe soccer, then end my career early but still being able to surf, snowboard and wakeboard for the rest of my life.

First thing you do when you wake up?

I wish I would say Yoga and Meditation. Maybe some day when the kids allow for that. Right now, first thing is coffee.

Biggest accomplishment in life?

Becoming a father and really growing into this role, while still being a pro wakeboarder.

Biggest Goal in life?

Giving my kids the opportunities and support to chase their dreams while not stopping to chase mine and my wife's.

Country you want to visit the most?

I would really wanna go to Japan to snowboard powder some day.
