MEET THE CREW

Jimmy Redmon

JIMMY REDMON
FOUNDER/VP R&D

How long have you been a part of the LF Family?
I spread the seed.

Where did you grow up?
I haven’t.

When did you first get into wakeboarding/wakeskating?
When there was none.

What is your favorite thing about working at Liquid Force?
Freedom to create, and the pressure to want to run away --- it’s a love/hate thing.

What’s your average day at LF like?
I haven’t had one yet.

When you’re not at work, what do you spend your time doing?
I’m never at work . . . and I spend it working.

What LF setup are you most stoked on?
The new one I’m working on at the moment.

What inspires you?
People being genuinely stoked on something you made, and my family.

Anything else to add?
Can I have a vacation?

Don Wallace

DON WALLACE
GM/BRAND DIRECTOR

First time grabbing a handle?
I’m pretty sure it was at Bullard’s Bar Reservoir in Northern California… I was rocking a sweet set of wood double skis behind my parents new Sea Swirl! Great memories!

Where is home?
My mail gets sent to Leucadia, CA, my roots are in Nevada City, CA, I got my diploma in Eugene, OR, and my home away from home is Mammoth Lakes, CA.

You make the best?
Boss, of course.

The greatest thing about Liquid Force?
We continue to not take ourselves too seriously and focus on the fun in life!

Describe an average day?
Truthfully, there is not an average day here at LF… everything is constantly changing, and every day brings a new and exciting challenge.  Today’s average day is much different than an average day 2 years ago, that’s for certain… I never thought I’d spend as much time as I do now leading and attending online meetings… TEAMS, ZOOM, etc.…  I’ve become very proficient at turning the mute button on and off, etc.…

Favorite animal?
A Duck… followed closely by cats (shout out Dodger and Zoe!).

Inspirations?
I’ve always been inspired by anyone that lives life to the fullest, works hard, does what they say they will do, and is a team player!  I guess that’s why I’ve ended up surrounded by great people that are working in an industry that is selling fun!  Additionally, my wife Susan continues to inspire me with her work ethic and determination, and my original inspirations were of course my parents… It’s cliché but my parents have made me who I am today by being great role models!

Best board graphic in the history of the World?
My recent favorites have for sure been the wildly fun and weird LTD boards that Pat Milo has created with us at LF, as well as the amazing art that our friend Chris Benchetler let us use for Tommy Czeschin’s recent PRIMO boards!

Parting words?
GET OUTSIDE!!!  And… GO DUCKS!!!

Colin O'malley

COLIN O'MALLEY
DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL SALES

First time grabbing a handle?
Summer of 1996, on a tributary of the Delaware River just outside of Philadelphia, PA.  Shout out to Matt P, Jay D, and RIP to the legend Ricky for letting me tag along on your boat all those years.

Where is home?
I grew up in DELCO, right outside of Philadelphia, PA (Go Birds!), but I've been in North County San Diego for 20 years and counting.

You make the best?
These days I make the best tackling dummy for my two crazy boys, Chase and Nolan.

The greatest thing about Liquid Force?
Our main goal is having more fun than anyone else!

Describe an average day?
There is nothing average about this place... But on a typical day, there are lots of emails, meetings, spreadsheets, but there's also time for a jog, and belly rub for the good dogs that roam the office, and maybe a beverage on an occasional Friday, but only if you turned in your TPS report with a cover sheet on time.

Favorite animal?
Dogs, followed closely by Eagles and Wildcats.

Inspirations?
Putting smiles on people's faces all sumer long!

Best board graphic in the history of the world?
There is only 1 correct answer to this question, and it's the original Trip.  I also have a one-of-a-kind Skye Walker painted Ultra Core Trip prototype hanging in my office that I love.

Parting words?
At the end of the day, let's not forget we sell toys for a living, let's not take ourselves too seriously, now go outside and have some fun!

Late 90's in North Wales, UK.

Where is home?
Out of a suitcase on the road somewhere a lot of the time, but Liverpool is where my roots are.

You make the best?
Road trip buddy!

The greatest thing about Liquid Force?
Getting to work with amazing people and travel the world doing what I love.

What's your average day at LF like?
When I am not traveling, the average day would be get up, go for a blast round the local trails on my bike before getting stuck into emails for a few hours. Maybe head to the cable for a ride if the weather is nice before jumping on an evening call with the team in the US to talk about anything and everything LF. But, honestly, every day is different and that's what I love about LF.

Favorite animal?
Dogs.

Inspirations?
My parents are my biggest inspiration, they are both legends and have shaped who I am today.

Best board graphic in the history of the World?
I honestly cannot pick just one, but the Trip Artwork Drew Brophy did back in the day is still amazing. I am also a big fan of Pat Milo's artwork.

TOM.jpg

TOM FOOSHEE
GLOBAL TEAM MANAGER

First time grabbing a handle?
Straight up, 1986 or 1987. Used to ride on my dad’s shoulders while he was skiing long before I ever rode anything. 1987 was when I first got up on my own on anything behind a boat if we want to get tech.

Where is home?
New Braunfels, TX

You make the best…?
Football Analyst, or so I believe. But I can definitely crank out the best Tortilla Soup you have ever had.

The greatest thing about Liquid Force?
The people, the products, the good vibes, the athletes, the events……..pretty much everything about LF is the greatest.

Describe your average day
Wake up and attempt to get my family and I out of the house on time, which never happens right. Get to the airport to wash some private jets and airplanes. Power through that job to head home and each lunch. Then to work on some LF athlete projects followed by the gym. Gym session always ends with 20 mins on the bike, so that allows me to crush out some more LF emails. If the weather is good, then a wakeboard set is usually taken (I still ride quite frequently). Then enjoy some family time and dinner with them. The day ends with me crashing out before any type of football game ends.

Favorite animal?
A Longhorn……duh

Inspirations?
My dad and my wife. Between the two of them I wouldn’t be where I am at now.

Best board graphic in the history of the world?
Actually that would be the 2020 Reverse graphic. Mike and the boys are some serious fortune tellers by perfectly laying out my family on the graphic. But the trippy part is, the graphic was designed before my baby boy was even baking in the oven. Futuristic funk!

Parting words?
“You can always retake a class, but you can never relive a party”

Nico Von Lerchenfeld

Where is home?
I grew up in a region called Allgäu in the south of Germany. Now I live in Cologne, one of the coolest cities on earth, with my girlfriend, our son and our two cats.

You make the best…?
Risotto. Ask those who tried it, it’s really good.

The greatest thing about Liquid Force?
Everyone working at LF is in it for the love of wakeboarding and the great friendships that have formed through it. Doesn’t feel like business, but more like a friend project that turned into this brand with the raddest product and the sickest team out there.

Describe your average day
Get waken up by my son Nalu. Have breakfast together, go play in a park outside. Lunch with my girlfriend Nane while he does his lunchtime nap. Bring him to his half-daycare place, drive to Langenfeld or Wakebeach to ride. When Nalu is back from daycare we play some more, read and if we’re lucky and he sleeps soon, we can catch up on work a bit before falling to bed. As we have lots going on though days very rarely look like this though.

Favorite animal?
I really like animals, which is why it is hard to pick a favorite one and which is why I don’t eat any of them.

Inspirations?
From people who have achieved greatness in what they do while still being humble and doing things to help others or our planet.

Best board graphic in the history of the world?
The LF Trip graphics by Drew Brophy. As a kid when I was like 5 or 6 years old, I was trying to paint those all the time!
