For me it’s hard to pinpoint one best moment on my wakeboard because there are so many. It can be landing a new trick that i’ve tried over and over again or just simply riding endless laps with the people that push me.
What lessons has wakeboarding taught you?I think wakeboarding has definitely taught me that hard work pays off and even though it may not seem like it at the time, you just have to trust the process and at the end, all the work i’ve put in is worth it. I’ve learned to enjoy the process of progressing and be patient when that one trick doesn’t come as easy as others may come.
Wakeboarding has also taught me time management especially being in high school, it can be hard to juggle both. So I have learned to do well in school and get my work done so that I can keep doing what I love.
What does it mean to ride for LF?Riding for LF has always been a dream of mine ever since I was little. I have always been on a Liquid Force board and to be here riding for the best board brand in the industry means so much and definitely proves that hard work pays off!
Who or what inspires you? There are so many things that inspire me but I would say that the local crew at my home park, Terminus has definitely been an inspiration to me as far as pushing my self and learning new tricks. The community at Terminus has always been so supportive and encouraging, I probably wouldn’t be here without them. Being unique as well as pushing the women’s side of the sport has also always been goals of mine and all the other pro women riders out there has definitely inspired me to do so!
Other riders video projects and edits have also been a big inspiration for me to film more and just be creative while doing what I love.
What do you think you are doing too much of or too little of because of wakeboarding? For me it’s always been hard to juggle life has a wakeboarder and life has a student. I’m currently a sophomore in high school and I think that this is a very important part of my life but it can also come in the way of wakeboarding. I try my best to balance wakeboarding and school as much as I can even though it can be very challenging. So, I guess I could say that i am doing too much of school as well as too little haha. But wakeboarding has also brought me so many opportunities and experiences that I am very grateful for and I look forward for what’s to come.
