Relentlessly repeating myself, but damn the LF girls are doing what no brand of any kind or any category has ever done in towed watersports. Relentless Domination all season long and ending it with a major statement at the WWA Wakeboard World Championships and Wakesurf Masters!
I’m going to go ahead and claim in, Meagan Ethell is the most accomplished women’s wakeboarder of all time! 9x World Champion this past weekend!!!!! Ya kidding me! That is so unfathomable, I don’t think we have ever had a 9x world champion in all of wake, so insane! And the crazy thing is, we have other ladies that are capable of becoming a world champion 9x’s in their careers, such as Zahra Kell who also got 3rd place at worlds. And speaking of Zahra, congrats to her on winning the overall Nautique Wake Series / Wakeboard World Series! And who else would be next to her, Meagan Ethell 2nd in overall too! Congrats ladies!
I also want to give a separate shoutout to Sanne Meijer! Sanne got 2nd place at worlds, ending her run with a flawless backside 5. Of course this is a huge feat getting silver at worlds, but I also want to give her even more props as she did it without her own kit. The airline lost Sanne’s luggage, so her being so rad, she made the best of it. She was able to use Meagan’s bindings and Matteo’s board. Congrats Sanne! Way to overcome adversity and do so well at worlds!
And speaking of Matteo Molinari, this dude put down a run that could get him on the podium in pro men’s, thus yielding him to become the Jr. Pro Men’s world champion! Matteo has been practically perfect this season cleaning up at every event that featured Jr. Pro Men. And there couldn’t be any better way to cap it off than becoming the world champ! Congrats brother! Also peep that double moby dick attempt from Buzzer Beater from him, it will get you hyped for the week!
Matteo wasn't the only Italian on the podium, our dude Nano got himself a silver at worlds too! Nano has been on a tear ever since he came over to America with a silver at nationals, a win at Buzzer Beater and a runner up at worlds. Mix that in with all the new new he has been landing behind the boat, kid is on one! Congrats Nano!
Moving over to Wakesurf Masters and you know the queen of wake surfing Bailey Dunn cleaned up and was on the podium 4 times, more than anyone at Callaway Gardens this past weekend. Bailey got a bronze in surf, bronze in skim and she won the overall Nautique wake surf series in both surf and skim! Bailey as had herself a season! Hence why I call her the Queen! Congrats Bailey!
