POW! Wake season is here! And by that I mean most are dropping neoprene as the season is now at the start of full swing. And a good sign for that is that we have done and shot our 2026 park line out at Thai and Tao Wakepark’s in Bangkok Thailand.
The moments and stories I could tell could easily write a book, but hey don’t want to make you read that long. So before I dive into some of my behind the scene highlights in the next weeks happenings, I want highlight just one athlete from this past week. The one that went above and beyond, the one that worked the most, shredded the hardest, and was our MVP. Daniel Grant!
Seriously DG is an animal. And even though his nickname and line is Tao (which means turtle), this guy moves like a cheetah. This was perhaps the easiest of them all to name our shoot MVP. So easy that we gave him the award 3 days before we left because he had already earned the title. Dan was up at the cable before anyone, not just ready to ride, but he was busy making the whole team coffee’s and making sure that they all got fed breaky. He rode and shot more than anyone, both wakeboard and wakeskate. It was his home park, so of course he laced every single hit and got an ungodly amount of clips and shots. But it wasn’t just that, every meal that we had, Dan was there to make sure that everyone was covered, every question, he had an answer. He was shuttling people, being insanely accommodating, operating the cable, moving features, translating for everyone, just firing on all cylinders all the time. And of course was there to show us all a good time both at the park and in the city.
Our team is filled with MVPs and everyone of them are so unique and rad in their own ways, but when it comes to an MVP of a shoot, Dan earned goated status.
Thank you so much Daniel! You are an absolute legend and we are so thankful to have you on our team! It was an honor to get to shoot at Tao and Thai Wake Park with you, watch you ride and of course just watch you be the amazing human that you are! Once you see everything that was produced from this shoot, you will see why Daniel Grant is our 2026 LF Park Shoot MVP!
