Happy Monday LF’ers!
Normally happy and Mondays are not things that are typically associated with each other. But when it’s the off season and for 3 weekends in a row our team has been making things happen, that’s something to be happy about, even on a Monday.
Boardstock at Bli Bli Wake Park in Queensland Australia went don this past weekend. This is the premier park event is Australia and pretty much always has been. Our former LF distro Mick Neville has been putting on this event since inception (and another series of park events even before this one), and to give you a concept of how long that’s been happening, well let's just say that even I rode in the first actual board stock……….and on a Tex board…….. That’s about a decade and a half at least haha.
Anyhow, to no surprise, but also a surprise participant was Gavin Stuckey winning both the King of Kicker and the main Boardstock features event. The other name of the weekend was Casey Taylor. So Gavin got the W in both events, while Casey got 2nd in King of Kicker and 3rd in the main event for pro women’s repping that RH Current board. And in 2nd in King of Kicker in pro men’s was Busty Dunn. Lastly, Bently Bland stepping up to pro men’s and landing his first podium in 3rd place during the main event. Congrats to you all!
I also have to give an extra shoutout to Gavin on here as I was texting with him on his trip back and he told me it was one of the best trips of his career if not the. He was beyond stoked and proud to see so many peeps falling in love with his board the Grail. Heartwarming was the exact word he used. So this also is a shoutout to Mick Neville for the culture and stoke he has created at Bli Bli on top of running such a great longtime park event. But also to Tom Harrison and Steve Anderson for always pushing the park scene in Aus along with having such a great group of dealers.
Lastly, if you are in Michigan and more specifically the Grand Rapids area this weekend, stop by the boat show and go see the Grail himself Gavin Stuckey over at the Action booth, along with Bailey Dunn over at the Nautique dealer.
Til the next episode,
