Break in the banger season!

Howdy LF’ers!

In just that brief break from my last update, so much has gone down.  Your getting your warning now, so be ready for the lengthy read, but it’s all worth it!

This past weekend was stop #2 of the La Familia world movie premier tour and it looked like one for the ages!  The boys tied one off at both Pampa Cable park for cash for tricks and at the movie theater.  The theater was pretty packed and had all the hype vibes during the premier and looked like a hell of a party.  When Sam Brown quotes it as the best weekend of his life, that should say something….. Check out the recap video here:

I know most of you might be tuned into the March Madness final game tonight, but the real March Madness ended a week ago.  LF’N March Madness was a really fun head to head bracket tourney we did with each athlete selecting their favorite banger and it going head to head with all the athletes on the team.  And in the end, Zahra Kell with the first ever HS BS 7 off the wake by a female took the W.  And it was a heater too with Matty Muncey’s tail grabbed KGB down the spillway going head to head with her in the ship matchup.  Congrats to you both on a fun filled battle during the whole month of March!

And a special congrats to Shane Bonifay for winning our inner office best bracket challenge.  Garrett Cortese right behind him in 2nd and a tie for 3rd place between Billy Witcher and Hunter Thane.  Want in on it next year?  Shoot me an email and we will get you in on the best bracket challenge.

Speaking of Garrett, him and Daniel Jarrett went on the Grab Matters podcast with a “shop talk”.  I highly recommend listening to it as it is a very educational one, along with some really wise words and advice.  Maybe its because I am good buddies with them both, but it was one of my fav shop talks yet.

LF veteran Nico Lukas Mario Freiherr von Lerchenfeld now has a new job, and a job that fits him so well.  Nico is now the German National Wakeboarding Team Head Coach!  This is such an awesome step for Nico in life as he still will be as active as ever with wakeboarding, but it will present him with more time to travel with wake, while also mentoring and coaching the next gen German athletes.  He is a professional athlete, he is a dad, he is an artist, and now he is a coach.  As well rounded as it gets, congrats Coach Nico!

And speaking of German’s one of LF Germany’s youngest and the one making the most noise right now, Jan Luca Schulz just won the Lake Paradise Cold Water Classic in Belgium. The official start of the European competitive season, this event has been occurring for quite sometime now and serves as the season kickoff. Jan has been on one the last few years and I got him in the final at LAO as my prediction.  Keep your eye on him, he is making things happen on the water….

I’ll save the rest for your eyes and mind for the next update.
