Well well well, your boy over here can predict the future. Call me “The Nostradamus of Now” or the “Time Tickler” with how well I predicted this past weekend. Let’s also just say this, if you were able to gamble on wakeboarding podiums, I would of made you all a ton of money with 7 of the 8 spots. Almost a perfect parlay…..
That’s right, let’s start it off with a banger over in Tennessee with Wakefest. My predictions were Sam and Guenther along with Meagan and Zahra. And of course all 4 of them delivered! Zahra with the W and right next to her was none other than the Queen of Wake Meagan in 2nd. Love seeing our girls at the top like this! Congrats girls!
And then over on the men’s side of things we had Guenther Oka in 2nd and Sam Brown in 3rd. Both those boys laid down some serious heat to land on the podium! Yea boys, congrats!
Let’s cross the pond over to the UK for Plastic Playgrounds, and go figure 1st place was Rivers and 2nd was Claudia! Just as I had called it for who would be on the podium! But these girls put in work and rode insanely well! So proud of you girls, well done!
And on the men’s side of things, our guy Gavin Stuckey locked up gold! He had a heavy head to head against Joe Battleday in the semi finals that if the heats were different, would of had Joe up there with him on the podium. Gavin is off on a heavy start now that he is fully healthy again, so expect to see him at the top for the months to come. Next up for him is RGR.
And to finish out such a successful weekend we have RWTP out at AWS behind the boat with Jake Caster and then RWTP and Broken Record Tour with Brett Powell. Both went off as we saw Jake teaching people their first new Wakesurf tricks in a boat full of people all day and then a busy full line day at the park at Elevated Wake Park with the mass with LF kit under their feet.
I mean this was such a heater of a weekend! So stoked on our team and what they all did in all forms of wake. Keep up the great work!
