Howdy Y’all!
This past weekend was a big one and by big one I mean that our team relentlessly dominated again! That’s right we had all things nationals and all in pretty much the same location. WWA Wakeboard, Wake Park and Wakesurf Nationals in southern Colorado. Let's dive in on how LF owned the event!
The park side of things was literally an all LF podium in Pro Men’s. The Holy Grail himself, Gavin Stuckey, won double gold in both park (traditional) and features! And standing on each side of him in both park and features in the exact same placements were 2 faces of the Frontline team, Preston Persichetti in 2nd and Brett Powell in 3rd. Seriously insane! Well done team, congrats on the domination!
Pro Women’s at the park featured the same level of domination with Rivers Hedrick as double national champ in both park and features only. That’s right our girl Rivers is the Current women’s natty champ…….. Congrats Rivs!
Onto the boat side of things, the queen of wake continues to relentlessly be the queen. That’s right Meagan Ethell secured the eagle to win the title of Pro Women’s national champ. And when congratulating Meags, I was informed that this is her 6 national title! Most dominate female of all time…… I’m thinking so. And right next to her was our girl Zahra Kell in 2nd and Italian Chiara Virag in 3rd, thus making it a full LF podium! Congrats ladies!
On the Pro Men’s side of things, Guenther Oka continued to find his way to the podium like he has in practically every event this season. Guenther got himself a silver, but to me since he is the highest podium American then he earns the title of USA national champ am I right? Either way congrats to Guenther for putting it down this past weekend and earning himself a 2nd place!
Lastly, I want to back up to the previous weekend. Over across the pond in Spain for the Nautique European Wakesurf Championships, our girl Bailey Dunn had herself a weekend. Bailey won Pro Women’s Skim! The Bailey the Blade proved to be the winning combo! Congrats Bailey.
