What do you get when you mix Daniel Grant, Felix Georgii, Rivers Hedrick, Nils Ritzman and Brett Powell with one of the coolest parks on the planet? An amazing weekend of riding and an extra-awesome Ride with the Pros event. With Red Bull's Wake the City taking place just a couple hours away in Milwaukee the following weekend, Nils came to the States early to join the fun. And when he heard the RWTP shenanigans were taking place just north of his home, Brett joined in on the action too!

The weekend kicked off with a free-ride session on Friday, thanks to WRWP owner Daniel Jarrett opening the park early for the crew. It had been years since Felix and Dan last visited West Rock, and it was Nils' first time ever in the States, so the vibes were awesome, to say the least. Daniel has done an amazing job developing a super fun feature lineup at West Rock – the lake is loaded with options and endless possibilities. In the afternoon, the park was open to the public and the riders got to do more freeriding with some fans who were stoked on the special experience and opportunity.

Ride with the Pros kicked off on Saturday morning with a solid crew showing up for West Rock's acclaimed "slow laps." Pint-sized groms and those just learning to feel the pull had a blast, while the LF team riders gave points and provided encouragement. Once the cable speed went back to normal, more riders (locals, and some from as far as three hours away) showed up to get some laps in and hangout with the squad. Everybody had a blast getting to ride together, demo new 2024 LF gear, and try some new tricks. The highlight might have been the epic amount of wakeskating that went down. The unofficial count was 11 different people going out for wakeskate shreds throughout the day. Needless to say, Dan was stoked, as it seems his #wakeskatewednesday campaign is paying off! After tons of wakeboarding, wakeskating, and fun, the riding shenanigans continued later in the day when Daniel Jarrett informed the crew he had a couple wake skis in the storage unit... Out they came and out went Dan and Felix for what was easily the best doubles ride of the day. Rail slides, daffies, sketchy carves, a gainer and even a backside 5 off the kicker all went down, much to the delight of everybody watching on the dock.

The epic day of fun wrapped up with a pizza party and some wake-video-watching on West Rock's deck overlooking the lake. With Felix and Dan back in town, and it being the ten-year anniversary of the release, it was only appropriate to watch "The Debut," which is an absolute must-see for any wakeboarding fans. All-in-all, it was another amazing weekend of LF pros getting together with locals at an amazing park, and having a fun time. This is what Ride with the Pros is all about, and it truly is awesome to see all the fun everybody has together each and every time we're able to put one on. Next time you're anywhere near Rockford, Illinois, be sure to get some laps in at West Rock and see what it's all about. The features are amazing and the location is great, but what makes it special are the community of riders there, both young and old, who epitomize what it means to "feel the pull" and have fun on the water.
